Reelcut Video editor Privacy Policy
ReelCut: Video Editor & Maker
Developer: Invis Labs
Effective date: [11 OCT 2026]
Last updated: [11 OCT 2026]
1. Introduction
Invis Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”) built ReelCut as a video editing app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using ReelCut, you agree to this policy.
2. Your videos and media stay on your device
ReelCut edits videos, photos and audio locally on your device. We do not upload, store, view or share your videos, photos, music or exported files on our servers. We do not require you to create an account.
3. Permissions the app requests
- Photos, videos and audio (storage/media access): to import your media and save your exported videos.
- Microphone (if you use voice-over): to record audio you add to a video. Recordings stay on your device.
- Notifications (if enabled): to inform you about export status or app updates.
- Internet access: to show ads, process subscriptions and send analytics.
You can change or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
4. Information collected automatically by third-party services
We use the following third-party services, which may collect information automatically:
Google AdMob (advertising)
AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device and operating system information, app interaction data and approximate location (derived from your IP address) to show and measure ads, and to personalize ads where permitted. Learn more: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Firebase (Google)
We use Firebase services such as Analytics and Crashlytics [edit to match what you actually use] to understand how the app is used and to find and fix crashes. These services may collect your app instance ID, device model, OS version, app version, crash logs and usage events. Learn more: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Play Billing (subscriptions)
If you purchase ReelCut Pro, payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card or billing details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
We do not control how these third parties use data. Please review their privacy policies.
5. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and improve the app
- To show advertising and keep the app free
- To detect and fix bugs and crashes
- To understand which features are used
- To verify and manage subscription status
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data sharing
We share information only with the third-party services described above (Google AdMob, Firebase and Google Play), and where required by law.
7. Advertising choices
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).
- Where required (for example, in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads.
- Subscribing to ReelCut Pro removes ads from the app.
8. Data retention
Your media and projects remain on your device and are deleted when you delete them or uninstall the app. Data collected by Firebase and AdMob is retained according to those services’ own policies.
9. Children’s privacy
ReelCut is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will help address it.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Because your media stays on your device, keeping your device secure also protects your content.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Since we do not operate user accounts or store your personal data on our own servers, most data is controlled by Google’s services. You can manage it through your Google account and device settings, or contact us and we will assist where we can.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
